According to SmartPrix, Xiaomi is preparing to revolutionize the smartphone industry with the Zhuque project - a button-less flagship phone, expected to launch in 2025.
The difference between this device and other smartphones currently on the market is that it does not have physical buttons. In addition, this product is also said to be equipped with a selfie camera hidden under the screen.
The project is said to be in its early stages, so we don't know exactly how it will be controlled yet.
Zhuque could use a combination of gestures, pressure-sensitive edges, or even voice commands, and if Xiaomi succeeds, it could be a huge leap forward in smartphone design.
Another standout feature on the Zhuque is the under-display selfie camera, a technology that has long been the dream of smartphone designers.
In terms of configuration, Zhuque will most likely be equipped with Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 chipset. Unfortunately, other parameters such as battery capacity and screen size of this device have not been revealed yet.
If the above leaked information is correct, “Zhuque” will be a big push for Xiaomi into the high-end smartphone market, while affirming the company's position in applying new technologies.
However, this is not the first time users have witnessed a "buttonless" smartphone.
Before Xiaomi, Meizu introduced the Meizu Zero with a similar “holeless” design, completely eliminating connection ports and physical buttons. However, this product did not achieve the expected success.
In addition to the buttonless phone, SmartPrix also revealed that Xiaomi could equip the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 chipset on the Xiaomi 15S Pro. This device is expected to launch between April and June 2025.
