On the afternoon of March 24th, the organizing committee of the 2024 Grand Prix of Binh Dinh International Professional Motorboat Race announced that the leaders of Binh Dinh province and the Chairman of Binh Dinh F1 Company had personally gone to the race area to join team captain Jonas Andersson in opening the container of the Formula 1 motorboat belonging to the Binh Dinh - Vietnam team.

Earlier that morning, the Bình Định team's racing boats, worth over 18 billion VND, docked at Thị Nại Lagoon (Quy Nhơn City, Bình Định Province). This was the first time fans of motorboat racing had the opportunity to see these expensive boats in person.

The F1H2O motorboat features the Vietnamese flag as its main design element, with the entire boat covered in a vibrant red color and a five-pointed star in the center of the bow, making it easy for spectators to identify the home team on the race track. This promises to bring many emotions and pride to all Vietnamese racing team supporters.
The UIM F1H2O tournament will be held from March 29th to 31st at Thi Nai Lagoon, Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province).
The motorboats used in the race are high-speed, highly maneuverable catamarans. They are 6 meters long and 2 meters wide, weighing up to 390 kg, with the engine alone accounting for nearly 120 kg. The engines used in the race are V6 2-stroke, burning 120 liters of fuel per hour to deliver over 400 horsepower at 10,500 rpm. The boats can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 minutes and have a top speed exceeding 250 km/h.
Currently, the Binh Dinh - Vietnam team owns 3 boats: number 1 is piloted by team captain Jonas Andersson, number 2 by racer Stefan Arand, and there is one reserve boat.
