Not only Ms. Hang, the fresh food section of the supermarket is also much busier these days. Ms. Nguyen Thi My Lan (living in District 3) is busy choosing trays of pork and eggs that are on sale.
Ms. Lan shared that she is used to going to the market but recently, she has switched to going to the supermarket due to the hot weather.
"The supermarket has cool air conditioning, fresh food, carefully preserved, and the prices are not much different from the market. If you are willing to hunt for sales and take advantage of supermarket reward points, the prices will be even cheaper," Ms. Lan calculated.
