Students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology participate in the "Green Summer" volunteer campaign in Tan Thanh commune

DTO - Recently, at the People's Committee of Tan Thanh commune (Dong Thap province), the Standing Committee of Tan Thanh Commune Youth Union held a ceremony to receive 60 students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology to participate in the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025.

During 20 days (from July 12 to July 31, 2025), 60 volunteers from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology coordinated with the locality to carry out meaningful projects and tasks such as: implementing a traffic road project (Bac hamlet) with a length of 400m and a width of 2m; mobilizing funds and working days to implement the project "Lighting up the countryside" with solar lights with a length of 1.2km (Trung hamlet); presenting 10 scholarships, 4 bicycles, 300 notebooks to students in difficult circumstances; organizing folk games, performing arts, presenting gifts to students; presenting 20 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in the commune; presenting 10 gifts to policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; launching a campaign to clean up and clear trees that obscure the view of Doi Lua ferry and National Highway 30 (Trung hamlet); Coordinated with HUtech University to organize training courses on digital transformation and AI technology for union members, youth, and officials and civil servants of Tan Thanh commune; organized a party admission ceremony for outstanding union members and youth. The total cost of the Campaign was 319 million VND, supported by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and the locality.

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology coordinated with the locality to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the project "Concreting rural roads" in Bac hamlet with a length of 400m.
