In front of a packed and bustling stadium in Rome, Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner came back to defeat American opponent Tommy Paul 2-1 (1-6, 6-0, 6-3) in the semi-final.
The result extended Sinner's unbeaten run to 26 matches, and if he wins, the 23-year-old will become the first Italian male to win the Italian Open since Adriano Panatta in 1976.
Speaking to the press after the match, Sinner said: "It was much colder today. I had a hard time adapting to it. But then I adjusted my mentality and tried to stay strong to play more effectively. I'm very happy to be in the final."
In the other semi-final, world number three Carlos Alcaraz overcame Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-3, 7-6 in just over two hours to reach his fourth final of the season.
Sinner's last defeat on the ATP Tour was to Alcaraz in the China Open final last October. Since then, he has won 26 consecutive matches, going 226 days unbeaten.
