On the evening of October 2, the Better Choice Awards (BCA) 2024 Gala officially took place at the National Innovation Center (NIC) Hoa Lac. At this event, in the Car Choice Awards category, 8 automotive awards found 8 worthy names that meet the needs of consumers. Of which, the "Outstanding New Car Brand" award went to Skoda.
Mr. Vu Manh Cuong - Marketing & Communications Director of Skoda Vietnam - said at the Better Choice Awards 2024 gala: “We are extremely honored that Skoda has been honored as the Outstanding New Car Brand of 2024. The award comes at a special time when we have just celebrated 1 year of official launch in the Vietnamese market. This is also an important milestone, marking the initial successes and at the same time motivating Skoda to continue to strive to please and bring high-quality European products to Vietnamese customers.”
Speaking about Skoda's victory, Associate Professor, Dr. Dam Hoang Phuc - one of the members of the Final Judging Council - shared: "Overall, Skoda is a long-standing brand and has been deeply ingrained in my generation. Not to mention that this car model originates from Europe, so of course it will be favored by everyone more than other regions. So I think Skoda surpassed its competitors and won this category, which is worthy."
In Vietnam, Skoda is taking a “slow but steady” approach with two product lines in the segments that receive much attention: C- and D-class SUV/crossovers. The Karoq and Kodiaq models are currently imported completely from Europe before being assembled in Vietnam.
Currently, Skoda has showrooms in many major cities across the country. The most prominent of these is the brand's Experience Center (VEC) in
Hanoi .
Not only distributing imported cars, Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory invested by
TC Group is the place that will produce and assemble Skoda cars in Vietnam and is also the first in Southeast Asia. Built on an area of 36.5 hectares, with a capacity of 120,000 cars/year, located in Viet Hung Industrial Park,
Quang Ninh province, Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory will produce the first CKD cars under the Skoda brand in the first quarter of 2025. Once again, congratulations to Skoda Vietnam!
