On June 28, the Naval Region 4 Command held a conference to review 3 years of implementing the Program of coordination of activities with the Vietnam Medical Trade Union, period 2023 - 2025. Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Permanent Deputy Minister of Health attended and directed. Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan - Commander of the Region and Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union co-chaired.

Implementing the coordination program, the two sides have well organized propaganda activities, fought to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands, and organized exchange and twinning activities between the two units. The Vietnam Medical Trade Union and specialized hospitals have examined and consulted thousands of people, including more than 800 female soldiers, more than 100 male soldiers; more than 600 children of officers and soldiers, and hundreds of screening and intensive testing cases. The total value of medical equipment supporting the units of the Region reached more than 1.5 billion VND... After the examinations for officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 and their relatives, cases requiring intensive treatment were supported by units and hospitals for examination and treatment at central hospitals.

In the coming time, the two sides will continue to coordinate with hospitals to organize health care, periodic and specialized health check-ups for officers, soldiers and relatives of soldiers working in the Region, especially for soldiers and civilians on Truong Sa archipelago; implement the Project on developing Vietnam's marine and island healthcare by 2030, including building a widespread military-civilian medical facility system, taking care of the health of soldiers, people and fishermen going offshore to create a seamless posture, ready to meet the requirements of national defense tasks when situations arise, contributing to the excellent completion of the task of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
