(HGO) – In 2023, in addition to promoting on the media and posting information on the website and social networking sites of the Provincial Employment Service Center, the province organized 62 job fairs with over 7,000 participants.

During the year, the whole province had 651 workers working abroad under contracts, reaching 119% of the plan. Of which, the Japanese market had 339 people, Taiwan had 68 people, and Korea had 244 people.
The work of supporting costs for workers according to Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial People's Council on policies to support workers going to work abroad under contracts for the period 2021-2025 in the province (Resolution No. 23) was implemented promptly, providing initial support costs to 501 workers.

Ms. Ho Thu Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, assessed: The work of sending workers to work abroad has initially brought positive results. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Employment Service Center has promoted the achieved results, continued to coordinate well with relevant departments and branches to support procedures so that workers can promptly go to work abroad; consulted on sanctions to handle risks, avoiding the situation of workers absconding. I hope that businesses sending workers to work abroad will continue to accompany, support, and seek new markets so that workers have the opportunity to access. For the families of workers, they should regularly visit to encourage their children and siblings to study and work abroad with peace of mind...
At the meeting, 9 study abroad businesses signed a Memorandum of Understanding on coordination in developing study abroad in Hau Giang province with the Provincial Employment Service Center.
Provide initial support costs according to Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial People's Council to 97 families whose children have gone abroad to work in 2023. Of these, 11 families received support of 15 million VND, the rest received support of 7.5 million VND.
Representatives of study abroad businesses signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Provincial Employment Service Center with the presence of provincial leaders.
