Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui The Nhan recently had a working session with the delegation of Sokcho City (Korea) in Phan Thiet City. Also attending the meeting were leaders of the Tourism Association, leaders of specialized departments and units under the Department.
Welcoming the delegation of Sokcho city, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui The Nhan expressed his joy and said that this visit and working session opened up a special cooperative relationship in the fields of culture, sports and tourism between Binh Thuan province and Sokcho city. At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed about the socio-economic situation, culture and tourism development potential of Binh Thuan province, in which in the first 6 months of this year, Korea was the leading market in the total number of international visitors to Binh Thuan .
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed two cooperation contents with Sokcho in the coming time. The Project to Support the Development of Tourism Services aims to cooperate in the field of tourism promotion and advertising; organize periodic tourism fairs; establish an electronic trading floor for tourism between the two localities and aim to discuss incentives for tourists from both sides. The Project to Preserve and Promote Cultural Relics between the two localities, in addition to calling for the organization of an annual Golf Tournament between Binh Thuan and Sokcho.
At the meeting, Sokcho City Vice Mayor Kim Sung Lim said that the potential for cooperation between the two sides is huge. Binh Thuan and Sokcho have many similarities in tourism development, but still have their own characteristics to create unique tourism products and exchange visitors with each other. The Sokcho City Vice Mayor hopes that in the near future, visitors from Sokcho to Binh Thuan can be brought by air and proposed to establish a cultural research cooperation group between the two localities. Sokcho City will connect with businesses and the Sokcho Tourism Association to discuss the Binh Thuan tourist market after this trip.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides completely agreed on the proposals made, and at the same time, there will soon be a joint announcement about the meeting so that the cooperation can be implemented in a practical, effective and in-depth manner...
