On February 4 (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), the People's Committee of Krong Ana district, Dak Lak province organized the 30th traditional men's boat race in 2025. The race attracted thousands of locals and tourists to watch, cheer, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the first days of the new year.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Krong Ana district , after the country was unified, thousands of coastal people of Quang Nam province followed the policy of the Party and State to come to Krong Ana to build a new life, concentrated in Quang Dien commune, Binh Hoa. Here, the large rivers Krong Ana and Krong No flow through, depositing fertile alluvium, favorable for growing rice.

Carrying on the tradition of their hometown, after the harvest season, people organize boat races on the vast water fields to exchange ideas, exercise, and pray for the gods to bless the country with peace and prosperity, and good crops.

This year's race was filled with exciting and dramatic competition.

The 30th traditional men's boat race of Krong Ana district in 2025 has 12 racing boats with more than 200 athletes from Quang Dien and Binh Hoa communes. The racing boats and athletes are all selected from the commune-level qualifying round and have been carefully prepared and trained.

After an exciting and serious competition with many dramatic races, the 30th Traditional Men's Boat Race of Krong Ana district was a great success.

The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to team 5, village 2, Binh Hoa commune; the second prize to team 8, village 1, Binh Hoa commune; and the third prize to village 6, Binh Hoa commune.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Ana district, Hoang Minh Giam, said that the traditional men's boat race in Krong Ana district has been held at the beginning of the new year since 1994, at Sen lake in Buon Trap town. After 30 years, the boat race has become a traditional festival that ethnic people in the district happily watch.
