Residential roads (reservoir roads), fences on both sides of the road... are lacking and incomplete, leading to many consequences for people when the North-South expressway, the section passing through Binh Thuan, is put into operation.
The North-South Expressway is a national key project, including a 160 km section passing through Binh Thuan that has just been inaugurated and put into operation. It is extremely important for the development of Binh Thuan, as it solves traffic problems and is a lever for the province to develop.
However, after being put into operation, there were many complaints related to the impact on travel, production and transportation of agricultural products, making it difficult and dangerous to life. Due to the lack of access roads and fences on both sides of the road, etc.
Typically, people in some communes where the highway passes through such as Tan Lap, Ham Kiem (Ham Thuan Nam), Ham Tri, Ham Liem (Ham Thuan Bac)... are among the affected places.
The heavy rains of the past few days are the clearest evidence of the impact. Tan Lap residents are struggling to travel and transport agricultural products via the highway when there is no access road for convenient travel. Chairman of Tan Lap Commune People's Committee Nguyen Loc said that he has reported the situation to relevant authorities, directly to Ham Thuan Nam District People's Committee, to add access roads for people here, as well as complete some unfinished small sub-sections to ensure the lives of people in the commune.
On rainy days it is like that, on sunny days there is a lack of water for production. Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh in Ba Bau, Ham Kiem commune was upset: When building the highway, we strongly supported the policy of cutting down crops, promptly handing over the land for road construction, but today when the highway is completed, it has left huge consequences for production, such as blocking the water supply for dragon fruit irrigation and the road for production, so we really hope the relevant agencies will soon resolve this.
The people’s frustrations are justified when life is peaceful with daily farming work, but now it is turned upside down. The expressway section passing through Binh Thuan has just been put into operation, bringing common benefits and inevitably causing problems. However, the people also hope that the government and relevant agencies will soon supplement, adjust and complete related infrastructure to meet the people’s living and production needs.
