Son La: Arrested 2 subjects illegally transporting 4 heroin cakes

On the evening of July 29, the Border Guard Command of Son La province announced that the unit's anti-drug force had just presided over and coordinated with functional forces to arrest two subjects for illegally transporting drugs.

Previously, at 10:30 a.m. on July 29, Chieng Tuong Border Post, Chieng On Border Post, Professional Department, Son La Provincial Border Guard Command and Special Task Force of the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention, Border Guard Command co-chaired and coordinated with the police of Long Phieng and Phieng Khoi communes to arrest 2 subjects.

Accordingly, the units were on duty at Ta Vang bridge area in Long Phieng commune when they discovered two male subjects driving a motorbike from Mo Tuoi village, Long Phieng commune to Phieng Khoi commune.

The task force asked the vehicle to stop, but the two subjects accelerated and fled. The units pursued them to the Hang Mon area, Phieng Khoi commune, and captured the two subjects.

The arrested subjects include: Trang A Ho, born in 1999 and Trang A Nu, born in 2000, both residing in Sang Pao village, Hanh Phuc commune, Lao Cai province.

At the scene, the authorities discovered and seized in the personal pockets and in the vehicle of the two subjects four cakes of heroin and some other documents and evidence.

Through investigation, the two subjects confessed that they took advantage of the storm to avoid inspection and control by the authorities and went to the border to receive the above drugs from an unidentified man, then transported them to Lao Cai for consumption.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the anti-drug force of the Son La Provincial Border Guard.
