Son La holds meeting on investment in building primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes

(sonla.gov.vn) On the afternoon of September 26, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired an online meeting on implementing investment in building inter-level primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes. Attending the meeting were Comrade Dang Ngoc Hau, Comrade Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments and communes where the schools will be built.

Implementing the Conclusion Notice No. 81-KL/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo on the policy of building schools for border communes, up to now, Son La province has inspected, reviewed, and surveyed the construction sites of the Primary - Secondary Boarding School in 13 border communes, adjusting the plan to build the Primary - Secondary Boarding School in Phieng Pan commune from "upgrading and expanding" to "new construction"; adjusting the total capital demand of 13 projects from VND 2,756 billion to VND 2,812 billion. Currently, 6 communes have approved local adjustments to the planning and completed the investigation, survey, measurement, counting, and determination of the origin of the recovered land and assets attached to the recovered land; and are preparing plans for compensation, support, and resettlement.

Comrade Trang Thi Xuan directed that, after reviewing the most optimal options, the communes urgently finalize the location for school construction and focus on site clearance, promptly handing over the clean site to the investor; continue to propagate and publicize the scope and boundaries of the project; complete the investigation, survey, measurement, counting, and determination of the origin of land and assets attached to the recovered land; allocate capital to projects when the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister decide to allocate central budget capital. Regarding design, there are currently 4 school models approved by the Ministry of Construction , the communes choose models suitable to the natural conditions, socio-economic conditions, and culture of the ethnic groups in the area and send them to the Department of Construction, assigning them to the investor to soon implement the project.
