ERA WAVE – A young band bringing a breath of fresh air to Vietnamese music

In the vibrant flow of modern Vietnamese music , the band "ERA WAVE" has emerged as a group of talented young artists, maintaining a solid academic foundation while nurturing a spirit of self-reliance and passion for creativity.

With 6 members from many prestigious art schools, ERA WAVE is gradually asserting its own style - a fusion between popular pop music and professional depth. Recently, the group attracted strong attention when performing the song "City of Smiles" - composed by member Huynh Huu Duc (stage name: Huynh Duc) - within the framework of the song composition campaign "Country Full of Joy" organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

The song won the third prize, was announced and performed at the 3rd Vietnamese Coffee and Tea Festival - 2025, which took place on the evening of May 17 at Gigamall Shopping Center (Thu Duc City). ERA WAVE's emotional and energetic performance received enthusiastic cheers from the large audience present at the event.

Sharing after the show, the members said that the joy and positive reception from the public is a "valuable source of energy" for the group to continue pursuing a professional music career, while contributing to bringing Vietnamese melodies closer to young audiences.

A versatile and cohesive team

ERA WAVE is not simply a singing group, but a combination of young, versatile artists with clear roles and diverse skills. Huynh Duc is the creative soul of the group: graduated from Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts, is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association (Composition Branch), and is also in charge of composing, choreographing, main rapping and main dancing.

He is the man behind most of the group's musical productions – from the content to the performance arrangements.

Huynh Huu Duc specializes in music genres: Pop, R&B, Ballad, Rap... Before founding ERA WAVE, Huynh Duc was a member of Sao Viet group (2018 - 2024).

Singer Tam Pham graduated from Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts as a visual - in charge of the group's image and style. He is associated with the music genres: pop, ballad. Tam Pham once worked with the group V-Music.

Singer Minh Nguyet graduated from the University of Culture and the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. She is the lead singer and is responsible for the group's diplomatic duties. She specializes in the following music genres: Chamber, pop, ballad. Currently, singer Minh Nguyet is also an official of the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema and Culture House. She is a former member of the Sao Viet group (2020 - 2024).

Singer Tuong Vy graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, majoring in vocals and acting. Her musical genres are chamber music, pop, ballads, and folk songs. Currently, Tuong Vy is an official of the Bong Sen National Music and Dance Theater. She is a former member of Sao Viet group (2019 - 2024).

Singer Bao Tram graduated from Hutech University. She also has the ability to design visuals and the group's image. Currently, Bao Tram is doing freelance business activities. Her music genres are ballad, pop, EDM. Bao Tram is the only member of the group who did not attend music school but is still very passionate about music.

Singer Van Trieu graduated from Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts. He specializes in "lead singing", lead dancing, rapping and is the youngest member of the group. Van Trieu's music genres are ballad, chamber music, rap. Currently, singer Van Trieu owns a studio in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City and most of the group's products are recorded, mixed and mastered by Van Trieu.

The journey has just begun but is full of promise

Musician Huynh Huu Duc confided: "I feel honored and proud because I did not think that a song by a young author would win third prize in a songwriting contest organized by a large, prestigious media agency, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

This result motivates me more and I will definitely continue to strive to improve myself in my writing career. The atmosphere of the awards night at Gigamall was very exciting. We joined the audience's joy when we enjoyed many new compositions about Ho Chi Minh City."

From a group of members who used to work in music groups such as Sao Viet, V-Music, before building the ERA WAVE brand together, Huynh Huu Duc advocates not "confining" himself to the old model but is building an independent direction: artists who compose - produce - perform themselves.

They choose the unhurried but persistent path, gradually approaching the public with quality products and meticulous style.

The event of winning an award and performing in a national program is a meaningful stepping stone, not only affirming the ability to compose and perform but also opening the door for ERA WAVE to get closer to the general audience. With positive energy, solidarity and a clear development strategy, the group Wave of the Era is gradually creating a new wave in the current picture of Vietnamese youth music.
