Fans are concerned about the health of star Jackie Chan. The actor, who marked his 70th birthday on April 7, told people not to worry about his health after several photos of him looking older and with grey hair went viral online recently. Chan wrote in an Instagram post that any photos of him looking older than 70 were just him playing a character in a new movie.

Jackie Chan wrote: "Not long ago, many friends saw some of my photos online and they were all worried about my health. I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone not to worry! It's just the appearance of the character in my latest film. The character requires me to have white hair, a white beard and look old. Over the years, I have always been willing to try new roles, whether it is a challenging stunt or the appearance of a certain character. I have been working in the entertainment industry for 62 years and I cherish every moment. I am lucky to still be filming until today."

Chan has not revealed which roles would require him to wear such an old-age makeup. He most recently voiced Splinter in the hit animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and is preparing to play Mr. Han in the sequel to Karate Kid . The film, directed by Jonathan Entwistle and co-starring Chan with Ralph Macchio and released by Sony Pictures, will hit theaters on December 13, 2024.

"Even before today, many friends reminded me: 'Jackie, it's almost your 70th birthday!'" Chan added under the birthday message on Instagram. "Every time I hear this number, my heart stops for a moment - am I already 70? After getting over the shock, the second thing that comes to mind is what my eldest brother said: 'Being able to grow old is a blessing'. But for us actors, we don't know how lucky we are to be able to grow old."

Jackie Chan added: "All I can say is: I love making movies and I love you all. Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes. I hope you all are happy and healthy."
