The total number of domestic and international tourists visiting and exploring Hoa Binh increased rapidly; revenue from tourism activities exceeded targets; many new and attractive destinations were put into operation; and the potential and advantages of natural resources continued to attract the attention of investors... these are the outstanding achievements of Hoa Binh tourism in 2024.
Phoenix Golf Course in Lam Son commune (Luong Son district) offers a combination of resort tourism and sports and entertainment, attracting international visitors.
Maida Logde in Tien Phong commune, Mo Village, Hien Luong Eco in Hien Luong commune; Vayang Retreat in Vay Nua commune are new eco-tourism and resort destinations that have recently opened, attracting tourists to the mountainous district of Da Bac in particular, and the Hoa Binh Lake tourist area in general. Besides offering tourists a perfect relaxing space, these destinations have invested in diverse and high-quality services and amenities: team building, conferences, seminars; various types of accommodation, restaurants , infinity pools, four-season onsen hot tubs, sports and entertainment, boat tours on the lake…

With its rich cultural and natural tourism resources, Mai Chau tourist area continues to be one of the most attractive destinations in the province, leading in the number of visitors and experiences. Notably, in March 2024, the organizers of the Vietnam Ultra Marathon 2024 selected Mai Chau as the venue for the event, attracting 2,200 athletes from 38 countries and territories. Alongside the event, the beauty of the destination was promoted and introduced to domestic and international tourists. During this period, the number of visitors from countries, provinces, and cities across the country who came to cheer on the athletes conquering the routes, as well as to explore community-based tourism, resort tourism, and experience accommodation, culture, and cuisine in the tourist area, increased significantly. The captivating routes, with their stunning scenery of rolling mountains and vast valleys, and numerous trails connecting remote villages of the Thai and Hmong ethnic minorities, offer visitors many memorable experiences.
Currently, Hoa Binh province boasts several attractive destinations renowned on the Vietnamese tourism map, such as Lac Village Community-Based Tourism - Chieng Chau commune (Mai Chau district), and Da Bia Village Community-Based Tourism - Tien Phong commune (Da Bac district). In terms of eco-tourism resorts, there are Avana Retreat, Mai Chau Ecollodge, and Mai Chau Hideaway (Mai Chau district); Phuong Hoang Golf Course (Luong Son district); and Serena Kim Boi Resort (Kim Boi district)... This year, five new tourism investment projects were approved, including a cultural experience area combined with health and wellness services in Hop Phong commune (Cao Phong district); the Kim Boi - Lac Son cable car line in Kim Boi commune (Kim Boi district); Thung Muong agricultural tourism area in Tu Son commune (Kim Boi district); Nam Thuong eco-tourism area in Nam Thuong commune (Kim Boi district); and an ethnic community-based cultural and eco-tourism area in Son Thuy commune (Mai Chau district). In the Hoa Binh Lake tourist area, several high-quality resort tourism projects are being invested in, such as: Robinson Nature Resort in Tien Phong commune (Da Bac district), Ngoi Hoa Eco-tourism Resort in Suoi Hoa commune (Tan Lac district)...
According to statistics, domestic tourists account for 80% of the province's total visitors, coming from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and other localities in the North, with a small number from the South and Central provinces. The province currently has 564 tourist accommodation establishments, including 57 hotels, 336 guesthouses, and 171 homestays meeting tourist service standards. During the year, the province welcomed over 510,000 international visitors, accounting for 20% of the total. The main source of international tourists to Hoa Binh is South Korea, accounting for 70%, with the remainder coming from traditional markets such as France, the UK, Australia, and potential markets like China, Taiwan, the US, Germany, Russia, and Western Europe. Peak tourist seasons in Hoa Binh are the beginning of the year with festivals and spiritual tourism, and the summer with tourists seeking eco-tourism and relaxation.
Comrade Bui Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed: With its majestic natural landscapes and rich cultural identity of ethnic groups, Hoa Binh is developing its potential and advantages in eco-tourism, resort tourism, and community-based tourism. This is also the direction for sustainable tourism development, in line with trends and meeting the needs of the tourist market. The province has been implementing many solutions to support tourism development, such as promoting tourism, attracting investment, building connecting transportation infrastructure, and ports to serve passenger ships. At the same time, it is mobilizing resources from various economic sectors to invest in technical infrastructure; building diverse, high-quality, environmentally friendly tourism products that reflect Hoa Binh's unique culture, have strong brands, and high competitiveness.
