This year, the exhibition gathered hundreds of domestic and foreign units to participate, with diverse display content such as television programs, script publishing, post-production techniques, equipment and machinery, in which the highlight is content copyright trading activities.
In addition, the exhibition also actively promotes international agency, investment and co-production activities. For Taiwan, this is a potential platform for the TV drama industry to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
Recently, with strong promotion from the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development (MOC) and the efforts of enterprises, Taiwan's television drama industry has developed vigorously.
Many works are based on indigenous culture, exploiting genres and topics that were previously little noticed, reflecting real life and bringing many profound thoughts. With outstanding production quality, these works have been selected by international OTT platforms such as Netflix and Amazon and have gradually affirmed their position in the global market, especially receiving great attention from audiences and film industry units in Southeast Asia.
At this exhibition, the “Taiwan Television Drama Production Association” (TDPIF) continues to implement the “Team Taiwan” group marketing strategy, with 32 participating television drama production companies, bringing 62 latest works and projects in the past two years, with a total duration of up to 3,432 hours.
A variety of genres such as career films, politics , horror, family, entertainment programs, documentaries, travel, cuisine, reality TV, animation..., meeting the diverse needs of the Vietnamese and international markets.
This participation also emphasizes the strategy of “Taiwan as the root, spreading globally: The Taiwan wave is coming”, in addition to traditional cooperation models such as copyright sales, actively promoting cooperation between Taiwan and Vietnam.
This year, the Taiwan Pavilion will hold a special event called “Taiwan-Vietnam Dialogue”, introducing many original projects and new works. We hope that through this opportunity, we can expand co-production and co-investment cooperation with platforms and production units in Vietnam, creating more abundant cooperation opportunities in the television drama industry.
Taiwan's Ministry of Culture and local governments currently have many preferential policies to support filming in Taiwan.
The Taiwan Pavilion and the “Taiwan-Vietnam Dialogue” event are expected to enhance exchanges with the Vietnamese television drama industry, jointly develop and contribute to the Taiwanese wave reaching out to the world.
