“Ta Xua - Stand up and stretch yourself”

Ta Xua Commune held a meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Industry's tradition day.

Attending the meeting were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, the Provincial Tourism Association, the Bac Yen Regional Tourism Association and representatives of tourism establishments in the commune.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 65-year tradition of Vietnam's tourism industry, affirming the important role and position of tourism in local economic and social development.

The new Ta Xua commune was established on the basis of merging three communes: Ta Xua, Lang Cheu and Hang Dong. The total natural area is 233.67 km², the terrain is mainly high mountains, located at an altitude of 1,200 - 2,800 m above sea level. With high mountain terrain, cool climate all year round, majestic natural landscapes and rich national cultural identity, it possesses many outstanding potentials for diverse and sustainable tourism development.

In recent years, with the attention of superiors and the cooperation of the people, Ta Xua tourism has gradually improved, becoming an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists, with many landmarks such as "Ta Xua Cloud Paradise", "Dinosaur's Back", Ta Xua primeval forest and grassland, Hang Dong, U Bo mountain peak, a system of streams and waterfalls with great landscape value, attracting tourists who love to experience, explore, hunt clouds and adventure tourism.

Over 50 accommodation establishments have been established in the area, many of which are well-invested and capable of serving domestic and foreign tourists. The road from Bac Yen commune to Ta Xua commune and some inter-village tourist routes have been renovated and upgraded, facilitating travel and developing new tourist routes.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to develop Ta Xua tourism sustainably and in accordance with the law; organizing surveys and assessing the potential for developing new tourist destinations, as a basis for integrating into the tourism development plan for the period 2026-2030; strengthening state management and supporting tourism businesses, etc.

Ta Xua commune requested Son La province to continue to accelerate the development of zoning plans and detailed plans to implement provincial tourism planning for Ta Xua commune and neighboring areas, and to pay attention to infrastructure investment, especially inter-village roads and tourism signboard systems. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to organize intensive training courses on community tourism skills and management of small accommodation establishments.
