Moved to attend the exhibition, Mr. Jean-Pierre Brard, former Mayor of Montreuil City, where the statue and space of Ho Chi Minh are located, expressed that this is a special event, helping the French people to better understand the extremely arduous journey of President Ho Chi Minh in France. On the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), on May 26 in Paris (France), the Vietnamese Embassy in coordination with the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace opened the exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - Aspiration for National Liberation".
The exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Aspiration for National Liberation" introduces nearly 200 documentary photos and documents about his life and career, attracting the participation of many French friends, overseas Vietnamese, students and staff of Vietnamese representative agencies in France.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang emphasized that the exhibition is an extremely meaningful event, expressing the deep gratitude of our people to the beloved Father of the Vietnamese nation - President Ho Chi Minh: "President Ho Chi Minh is not only a talented leader, an outstanding thinker but also a shining example of revolutionary morality and passionate patriotism. He devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation and unification. He taught every Vietnamese how to live as a human being, how to become a useful person for the Fatherland."
For her part, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, Le Thi Phuong, affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save the country opened up the most brilliant milestones in the history of the struggle for national liberation of Vietnam. Nearly 30 years from the time he left until his return to the Fatherland, he completed his noble historical mission of bringing to the Vietnamese people the flag and aspiration for national independence associated with socialism. Ms. Le Thi Phuong also emphasized that today's event is even more meaningful with the presence of many French and international friends.
Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, Le Thi Phuong said: "The exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - Aspiration for National Liberation" held at the Vietnam Cultural Center in France today has attracted the enthusiastic participation of Vietnamese expatriates and French friends. That shows the affection of our overseas Vietnamese, as well as international friends, for President Ho Chi Minh. President Ho Chi Minh always lives forever in the career of every Vietnamese person and in the hearts of international friends."

The exhibition not only helps researchers, overseas Vietnamese, French and international friends understand most fully about President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, a cultural celebrity, but is also an opportunity for young people to feel more deeply the extremely arduous journey of President Ho Chi Minh to find a way to save the country.
Ms. Le Thi Phuong Khanh, Head of the Communications Department of the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in France, shared: "As one of the representatives of the young generation of Vietnam attending the opening ceremony of this exhibition, I feel extremely moved. Up to now, we have known President Ho Chi Minh through history lessons or newspaper articles. This is the first time we have learned more about Uncle Ho's journey in France, helping us better understand his extremely arduous journey to find a way to save the country. We are extremely moved and more proud and loving of President Ho Chi Minh."
Coming to the exhibition, overseas Vietnamese and international friends also enjoyed a special art program praising President Ho Chi Minh performed by generations of Vietnamese people in France. Melodies and songs such as City named after Uncle Ho, Who loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh, Ho Chi Minh is the most beautiful name... resounded in the capital Paris, as a thank you, an affirmation that President Ho Chi Minh is forever a source of pride and a shining example for generations of Vietnamese people to follow.
The exhibition is open to the public until June 3.
