The Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has just released information stating that a work accident has just occurred in Quoc Oai district, killing 3 people and injuring 7 others.
According to the report, the incident occurred at around 7:10 p.m. on June 18 in Viet Yen village (Dong Yen commune, Quoc Oai district). At that time, Mr. Do Danh Thanh (49 years old, a worker) was under the construction site shed of Dong Yen B Kindergarten (by Tuan Minh Construction and Development Company Limited) when he noticed a power outage.
When Mr. Thanh went around the construction site, he came to the material lift area and discovered 10 workers lying on the ground (under the lift area). After that, Mr. Thanh called everyone to join in taking the 10 victims to the 105 Hospital for emergency treatment.
At around 9:00 p.m. the same day, the hospital announced that 3 victims had died, including: N.D.Th. (born in 1976, residing in Dong Quang commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi), LVS (born in 2001, residing in Chieng Luong commune, Mai Son district, Son La), Ng.VY (born in 1988, residing in Bac Me district, Ha Giang ). The 7 injured victims are continuing to be treated at Military Hospital 105.

The Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is continuing to coordinate with organizations and individuals to investigate the case according to their authority. At the same time, it is proposing to support and visit the victims' families with the amount of 10 million VND/person who died, 5 million VND/person with minor injuries, and 3 million VND/person with serious injuries.
The Investigation Police Agency of Quoc Oai District Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case of Violating regulations on labor safety causing serious consequences, occurring at the construction site of Dong Yen B Kindergarten, to handle the case according to the provisions of law .
