Immediately after the policy of the Central and the province, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Tam Duong district promptly issued many documents for leadership and direction. At the same time, the Steering Committee was established, the Steering Committee's operating regulations were issued, and specific tasks were assigned to each member. A plan was developed to implement the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the area.
Accordingly, the District People's Committee, the District Fatherland Front Committee and localities in the area have coordinated to review, appraise and compare standards, conditions and subjects. At the same time, support the completion of documents according to regulations to request financial support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the area...
According to the review results, in 2025, the whole district will have 30 poor and near-poor households and 110 families with meritorious services and martyrs' relatives with temporary and dilapidated houses eligible for financial support. With the view of not leaving anyone behind, along with the participation of all levels, sectors and organizations, gradually removing difficulties and obstacles, Tam Duong district is determined to complete the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025.
To complete this task, Tam Duong District Party Secretary Nguyen Thanh Tung requested the District People's Committee to direct departments, offices, and agencies to strengthen coordination, urge, and guide communes and towns to implement assigned tasks. Focus on propagating and disseminating the contents of the Provincial People's Committee's project and the implementation status of localities in the district. Provide technical guidance, inspect construction quality and manage and settle support funds in accordance with regulations. Establish a working group to assist the Steering Committee, assign responsibility for each commune and household, and at the same time summarize and report to the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee weekly.
The Party Committees of communes and towns direct the People's Committees at the same level to disseminate and propagate the project's contents to all cadres, party members and people. Proactively mobilize social and community resources to help disadvantaged households with the motto "whoever has something to help". Along with that, guide and supervise the construction quality and complete the full payment and settlement records.
The Fatherland Front Committee, the Propaganda Department, and the Mass Mobilization Department of Tam Duong District Party Committee continue to propagate and mobilize organizations, businesses, and individuals to support funding, labor, materials, etc. to support households in building houses. Members of the Tam Duong District Steering Committee perform their assigned tasks, regularly inspect and urge the responsible localities, promptly report difficulties and problems to the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee for direction and resolution...
Due to difficult circumstances, the old house of Mr. Le Van Sy's family in Van Sau village, Hoi Thinh commune, although degraded, the family has not been able to build a new house.
Faced with that situation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoi Thinh district and commune to assess and support Mr. Le Van Sy's family to build a solidarity house with a support amount of 70 million VND. The funding source was provided from the "For the Poor" fund of Vinh Phuc province.
During the construction process, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Hoi Thinh commune and Van Sau village mobilized nearly 20 members and youth union members to support Mr. Sy's family with working days, helping his family to soon stabilize their lives.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the new house, Mr. Le Van Sy could not hide his emotion and shared: "I am very happy to have a new house in my old age, which I dreamed of all my life but could not build myself. I am very grateful for the attention of the provincial authorities, Tam Duong district and Hoi Thinh commune for their timely support and encouragement."
With the strong direction of the District Party Committee Standing Committee and the District Steering Committee, by May 20, 2025, Tam Duong district had started construction and repair of 20/22 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households. Of which, 8 households built new houses, 12 households repaired; 2 houses have been completed. The total implementation cost is 306 million VND, of which 270 million VND is from the budget and 36 million VND is from socialized sources.
For the meritorious people and martyrs’ relatives in the district, 50/88 houses have been built and repaired. Of these, 8 households have built new houses, 12 households have repaired houses; 2 houses have been completed. The total amount of money to be spent is 303 million VND, of which 295 million VND is from the budget and 8 million VND is from socialized sources.
Although there are still many difficulties in implementation, Tam Duong district affirms that it will continue to focus highly, remove all obstacles, and create the most favorable conditions for people to enjoy the policy.
The review work will continue to be completed, additional documents will be processed quickly, and at the same time, propaganda will be stepped up so that people understand that joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a solution to support housing, a motivation for poor households and meritorious people to rise up in life, but also a major policy with profound humanistic meaning, demonstrating the Party and State's concern for people's lives, clearly demonstrating the spirit of great national unity and contributing to bringing our country into a new era.
