Detained 2 people for illegal drug trafficking

Two subjects illegally buying and selling drugs were detained.

Previously, at about 1:00 a.m. on May 1, 2023, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic, and drug crimes of An Bien District Police ( Kien Giang ) coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Kien Giang Provincial Police to ambush at the PV boarding house in Bay Cho Hamlet, Dong Thai Commune, An Bien District, catching Phong and Doi red-handed in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs.

During the search, the authorities seized 105.0802 grams of Methamphetamine, 1 black metal gun marked ZP-5 and 14 bullets, 1 electronic scale, 1 drug use tool kit, 5 used cell phones, 1 car with license plate 28A-083.89.

Phong confessed that he bought the drugs from a man named "Bin" at the Eastern bus station ( Ho Chi Minh City ) for 30 million VND, with the intention of selling them with Doi to a man named "Gom" in An Bien district (Kien Giang) for 57 million VND. They rented a PV motel to make the transaction, but were discovered and arrested by the authorities.
