A shining example of dedication to students

DTO - Surpassing 279 teachers participating in the Dong Thap Province Secondary School Teacher Competition, in the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Mai Nhut Truong and his wife Ms. Le Thi Thao Trang were on the list of 156 teachers who won prizes. Mr. Mai Nhut Truong, who teaches at An Hoa Secondary School, An Hoa Commune, Tam Nong District, is one of the two best teachers in the competition to be honored with the noble title "Golden Chalk"; while Ms. Le Thi Thao Trang, who teaches at An Lac Primary and Secondary School, Hong Ngu City, won the title "Excellent Teacher".

Teacher Mai Nhut Truong (born in 1992) grew up in a family with both parents being teachers from My Long commune, Cao Lanh district (currently living and teaching in Thap Muoi district). As a student, Nhut Truong dreamed of following in his parents' footsteps and becoming a teacher. In 2014, after graduating from Dong Thap University with a major in Mathematics Education, with the desire to be equipped with in-depth knowledge, he continued to study for a Master's degree and then worked as a teacher at An Hoa Secondary School until now.

With an open, friendly, dedicated personality, and devoted to his students, Mr. Nhut Truong received many compliments from his colleagues. During his tenure, he was trusted and selected to be a member of the Jury for the district-level excellent student competition in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. Notably, Mr. Truong was also awarded by the Departmentof Education and Training of Dong Thap province and Tam Nong district for his achievements as "Teacher with achievements in guiding students to win Third Prize in the Science and Technology Competition, STEM Festival Products for high school students in Tam Nong district, school year 2019-2020"; "Teacher with achievements in guiding students to win Third Prize in the Science and Technology Competition for High School Students in Dong Thap Province, 2019-2020 school year" and "Teacher with achievements in guiding students to win First Prize in the Science and Technology Competition, STEM Festival Products for High School Students in Tam Nong District, 2020-2021 school year". Notably, at the end of March 2024, at the Competition for Excellent Teachers at Secondary School Level in Dong Thap Province, 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Mai Nhut Truong was honored to be one of two outstanding teachers to receive the title "Golden Chalk".

Teacher Mai Nhut Truong shared: “To achieve high results at the competition, I spent a lot of time, studying many books, documents, official dispatches, circulars... to prepare lesson plans. Then, I asked teachers inside and outside the school, the Mathematics Council, and teachers who had won the title of Excellent Teachers at the provincial level in previous years to give me feedback on my lesson plans. Next, I conducted many trial lessons, learned from my own experiences, and invited teachers to attend and give feedback. In particular, my lectures promoted students' positivity, improved their professional capacity, and promoted the effectiveness of the new General Education Program.”

Ms. Le Thi Thao Trang (born in 1991) has parents who are farmers living in Binh Thanh commune, Thanh Binh district. Ms. Trang also has a Master's degree and teaches Mathematics. During her teaching career, Ms. Trang has been awarded for her achievements: "Guiding students to win the Third Prize at the City-level STEM Festival, school year 2021 - 2022" and "Guiding students to participate in the STEM Festival to win the Second Prize at the Provincial level (collective prize), school year 2023 - 2024". Notably, Ms. Le Thi Thao Trang has just been honored with the title "Excellent Teacher" at the Excellent Teacher Competition at the Secondary School level in Dong Thap province, school year 2023 - 2024. This is an honor not only for Mr. Truong and Ms. Trang but also a proud achievement for the collective of An Hoa Secondary School; An Lac Primary and Secondary School (Hong Ngu City).

As a couple of excellent teachers, diligent, willing to invest in their expertise and have good teaching methods, Mr. Truong and Ms. Trang are always trusted by the school's Board of Directors and teaching staff, loved by parents and respected by students. Mr. Mai Nhut Truong shared more: "My husband and I always strive to self-study to improve our professional qualifications, learn teaching and student education experiences from colleagues. Applying active teaching methods and technology in teaching, always creating a happy and comfortable atmosphere for students."

Mr. Mai Nhat Truong and Ms. Le Thi Thao Trang are two shining examples of ethics, self-study spirit and creativity in the education and training sector of Tam Nong district, Hong Ngu city.
