Tam Ky workshop on developing life skills education and school sports

(QNO) - This morning, May 8, Tam Ky City organized a workshop to build a framework for the development of skills education and school sports in the city until 2030.

At the workshop, many opinions from schools emphasized the role and necessity of life skillseducation and physical education in schools. Thereby, helping students not only gain academic knowledge but also be equipped with essential life skills such as communication, emotional management skills, problem-solving skills, teamwork skills; physical development, creating an indispensable foundation for them to develop comprehensively.

To contribute to the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program, the Education and Training sector focuses on promoting life skills education and physical education for students in the direction of comprehensive development of qualities and abilities associated with career orientation; equipping students with appropriate knowledge, values, attitudes and skills. On that basis, forming healthy and positive behaviors and habits for students; eliminating negative behaviors and habits in relationships, situations and daily activities.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Permanent Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee, 100% of preschools, kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools are required to regularly organize life skills education and physical education activities in various forms. The organization must ensure safety, seriousness, practicality, effectiveness, and promote students' self-management, initiative, and creativity.

Based on the school's conditions, local reality and the psychological characteristics, age, ability and needs of students, organize activities, avoid formality, overload and forced organization; do not put pressure on or force students to participate.

In terms of content, educating learners with basic and necessary skills, aiming to form good habits to help learners succeed, ensuring that it is both practical and suitable for each age group.
