To date, all preparations for the election have been carried out according to schedule and regulations, with the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) playing a key role in consultations, nominating candidates, organizing meetings with voters, and monitoring the election process.

Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, and Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, took the time to discuss this issue with the press.
Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Vice Chairperson and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, how do you assess the progress of the preparations for the elections being chaired and coordinated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front nationwide?
The Vietnam Fatherland Front plays a particularly important role in the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels. This includes the consultation process to select and nominate outstanding candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils; the dissemination of information and mobilization of the people to fully exercise their rights and responsibilities as voters; the organization and guidance of voters in monitoring the entire election process; coordination in inspecting and supervising the organization of elections at the central and local levels; and creating conditions for the people to directly participate in monitoring through voter meetings in their residences and workplaces, the posting of voter lists, and election campaigning.
Recently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has focused on implementing many important tasks, such as: concentrating on developing guiding documents and supporting local authorities to proactively organize election activities. Following the guidance of the Central Committee of the VFF, the VFF at all levels has closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities, leveraging the core role of election councils to organize consultation rounds ensuring compliance with legal procedures and regulations, thereby selecting and nominating a list of candidates with a reasonable structure and number.
Immediately following the consultative conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels coordinated and successfully organized voter outreach activities for candidates in all localities nationwide. These activities were implemented in accordance with regulations, ensuring democracy and transparency, creating conditions for candidates to present their action programs and for voters to exchange and express their opinions. This contributed to providing voters with more information to choose and elect worthy representatives.
Based on our assessment of the overall situation, we have received very positive feedback from localities, the people, voters, and union members at voter outreach meetings regarding the candidates' presentations of action programs. This shows that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels has undergone a very clear change. This is due to the proactive spirit and active involvement of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, excitement, and confidence among the people and each voter regarding the implementation of legal regulations on voter outreach for candidates to present their action programs.
When we visited various localities to assess the situation, we observed that from the Party Secretary to the village and neighborhood leaders, the heads of the Fatherland Front Committees, and the heads of political and social organizations, everyone was actively and systematically involved. In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front in these localities performed very well in understanding the people's situation, focusing on disseminating information and mobilizing members and the people to ensure everyone understood their responsibilities, rights, and obligations in participating in the elections, thereby selecting representatives who truly represent the people's aspirations. All of this demonstrates a readiness for the "National Festival" – the election of representatives to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
Madam, since joining forces under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, how has the work of disseminating information and mobilizing members to participate in elections been implemented, especially in border areas, islands, and areas with unique conditions, in promoting the role of political and social organizations, particularly in border regions, islands, and areas with special conditions?
Given the broad and unified nature of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), in recent times, the VFF at all levels and political and social organizations have focused on propaganda and mobilization work. In remote, disadvantaged areas, areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, and areas with a large religious population, the Front has emphasized the role of influential figures at the grassroots level, religious leaders, and officials in disseminating information and mobilizing the people. This has contributed to raising the awareness of voters and the people about the meaning and importance of the election, encouraging voters to fully participate and exercise their rights and civic duties, while simultaneously creating consensus and strengthening the people's trust in the election process.
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have intensified many activities at the grassroots level to raise awareness and promote community cultural values; and to care for and support people's livelihoods after the Lunar New Year, especially in border areas, islands, and areas affected by storms and floods. These practical activities contribute to creating momentum and strengthening the people's trust and expectations in elected representatives for the next term.
Madam, in order to ensure that the election day is democratic, lawful, and well-organized, what key tasks has the Vietnam Fatherland Front been focusing on?
Ahead of the March 15th election day, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels continues to review voter lists; strengthens propaganda and mobilization efforts to ensure voters and the people understand their rights, responsibilities, and honor, and participate fully, on time, and with the highest sense of responsibility.
In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels will promote its role of social supervision and criticism through monitoring the preparation and organization of elections to ensure compliance with legal regulations; continue to coordinate the inspection and supervision of election preparations at the local level, especially the posting of voter lists, lists and brief biographies of candidates, ensuring that information is complete, public and transparent.
We also strengthened our understanding of the situation at the grassroots level and public opinion to promptly make proposals and recommendations to Party committees, authorities, and election councils at all levels; in particular, we focused on mobilizing all segments of the population to uphold their civic responsibility and participate fully and lawfully in the elections, contributing to making election day a true festival for the entire nation.
Thank you very much, Madam.
