To do a good job of ensuring traffic order and safety, the Team has advised the unit's leaders to develop and implement a plan to regulate and reasonably divide traffic flows, guide safe and smooth traffic, especially on National Highway 6, urban areas, and areas with tourist attractions that attract a lot of visitors. Organize on-duty, receive and promptly handle reports on traffic order and safety, coordinate to ensure security and traffic order and safety at tourist areas and attractions.

Along with that, patrols and controls will be strengthened, focusing on high-risk behaviors leading to traffic accidents, such as: Violating regulations on alcohol and drug concentrations while driving; vehicles carrying overloads or exceeding the prescribed number of people; not wearing helmets when riding motorbikes; and transport vehicles violating regulations on technical safety and environmental protection.

The team also coordinates with functional forces of communes and wards to patrol, control, and strictly handle vehicles that stop and park illegally, encroach on roadsides, etc.; build a model to mobilize the masses to participate in ensuring traffic order and safety on main roads and establish self-management groups at the grassroots level.

Along with patrolling and handling traffic violations, during rainy and foggy times, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 arranges two working groups on duty 24/7 on National Highway 6 to regulate traffic, guide drivers, and distribute yellow reflective paper, helping drivers to be proactive and ensure safety when driving through dangerous, foggy, slippery roads.

In addition, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 also organized a signing of commitments with 866 drivers and owners of private vehicles in the area to comply with the Road Traffic Law, not to carry overloaded or oversized goods, not to arbitrarily "expand" the vehicle's trunk; propagated and mobilized over 30 restaurant, eatery, bar owners... to sign a commitment to propagate and remind customers to strictly comply with the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcohol and Beer. Organized 15 propaganda sessions on traffic safety for more than 5,300 teachers and students at schools in the area.
