Strengthening traffic safety on highways, aviation, maritime and inland waterways

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, Provincial Police, departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities requesting the implementation of Official Dispatch No. 14 of the Ministry of Construction on strengthening the work of ensuring traffic safety on expressways, aviation, maritime and inland waterway safety.

The new Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway has just been put into operation.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, functional agencies, and localities to promptly inspect and overcome shortcomings in ensuring traffic order and safety on expressways, aviation, maritime, and inland roads in the province. The Traffic Safety Committee urges units to implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 14 of the Ministry of Construction , promptly handle the contents within their authority or report and advise competent authorities according to regulations.

According to the Ministry of Construction, in the first 4 months of 2025, with the participation of ministries, branches and localities, the traffic order and safety situation has achieved many positive results, traffic accidents have decreased in all three criteria, and the awareness of traffic participants has improved significantly. However, recently, a number of traffic accidents have occurred causing great damage to people and property. Therefore, it is recommended that the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities direct local authorities to resolutely implement local traffic safety plans, paying special attention to proactively monitoring, managing, detecting and strictly handling violations in automobile transport business activities. At the same time, closely coordinate with the Ministry of Construction in reviewing and overcoming shortcomings in traffic organization and road signs in the area according to the direction of the Prime Minister; Proactively deploy solutions to ensure traffic safety in areas that attract a lot of tourists , proactively enhance traffic safety on waterways during the 2025 flood season.
