Binh Thuan and Quang Tri connect trade, link production and consume cooperative products

From there, contributing to solving difficulties in product output for cooperatives, as well as gradually selling products in more depth and professionalism.

At the conference, representatives of cooperatives in the two provinces briefly introduced the typical products and advantages of the locality. Thereby, they hope to connect, introduce and bring products of cooperatives of Binh Thuan province to the market of Quang Tri province and vice versa in the coming time. This is an opportunity for cooperatives to expand trade with cooperatives in provinces and cities across the country, form display points, sell more diverse OCOP products, and bring products to e-commerce platforms that have connected supply and demand. Thereby, contributing to increasing the value of local products and income for farmers and cooperative members.

Through the conference, we hope to help cooperatives in the two provinces expand their product distribution network.

Within the framework of the conference, the leaders of the Cooperative Union of the two provinces: Binh Thuan and Quang Tri signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of mobilizing resources to effectively carry out activities of building and developing the collective economy, promoting trade promotion, connecting supply and demand, applying scientific and technological advances, and digital transformation of the collective and cooperative economic sectors. At the same time, the two localities will coordinate and exchange experiences in leadership, management, and operation to advise the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committees of provinces and cities in effectively implementing the task of developing the collective economy and cooperatives.

In addition, helping cooperatives improve the quality of designs, packaging, labels, apply high technology in production, digital transformation, build geographical indications for products, certify VietGAP and OCOP product quality standards, expand markets on a regional and inter-regional scale and export agricultural products at fairs, conferences, exhibitions of goods and agricultural products...

It is known that Binh Thuan province has nearly 200 products certified as OCOP, including 24 cooperatives and cooperative groups with 33 products participating in the OCOP program. Quang Tri province alone has 172 products certified as OCOP, including 28 cooperatives with 42 products recognized as OCOP. Notably, there is 1 cooperative with a 5-star product (Khe Sanh Agricultural Products Cooperative).
