In 2023, with the unity of the entire Party Committee, the consensus and support of all classes of people, the whole district has 24/24 criteria achieved and exceeded the set plan. The total production value is estimated at 13,537 billion VND; the average income per capita is 49.52 million VND; the budget revenue is 246 billion VND, reaching 107% of the plan.
The rate of households achieving cultural titles is 94.7%; the rate of villages and residential groups achieving cultural titles is 99.58%. The quality of comprehensive education continues to be consolidated and promoted; to date, 66/66 schools in the area have met standards (100%). Political security and social order and safety are basically stable. Foreign affairs with Kham Cot and Xay Cham Pon districts (Bolykhamxay province - Laos) continue to be strengthened.
In 2023, the Party Committee and the grassroots inspection committee inspected 214 grassroots Party organizations and 79 Party members; supervised 106 Party organizations and 137 Party members; inspected 3 Party organizations and 13 Party members when there were signs of violations; continued to direct the effective implementation of specialized resolutions of the District Party Committee on new rural construction, administrative reform, environmental protection, personnel work, activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
In 2024, Huong Son district aims to achieve an 8.5% growth rate in production value; local budget revenue of 270 billion VND; average income per capita of 52.5 million VND; and strive to have at least one more commune achieving advanced NTM status.
Accordingly, the district continues to implement the Project on sustainable agricultural development for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. Strengthen the work of expanding planning in the area. Focus on doing well the work of site clearance, speeding up the construction progress of project works. Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Tu Anh highly appreciated the results achieved by Huong Son district in 2023, and affirmed that these results were thanks to the flexible and dynamic leadership, direction and management of Huong Son's leadership team; the unanimity, internal solidarity and consensus of the people.

Emphasizing the difficulties in 2024, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council suggested that Huong Son district should review the entire term's activity program specifically, from which to have the most suitable short-term and long-term solutions.
The district needs to persevere in its goal of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. In particular, it is necessary to closely follow the province's policies and guidelines to attract investment resources and develop the local socio-economic situation; and focus on digital transformation to improve efficiency in all areas.
Closing the conference, District Party Secretary Bui Nhan Sam suggested that localities should focus on promoting the movement of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas to ensure substance and efficiency. Continue to develop industry, create conditions for businesses to invest in industrial clusters, and develop trade and service infrastructure.

In the immediate future, focus on directing winter crop care, implementing spring crop production; implementing key tasks before, during and after Tet, ensuring that people can celebrate the New Year safely and warmly.
Authorized by the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Fatherland Front Committee Tran Nhat Tan awarded the Prime Minister's certificate of merit to the Huong Son District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee for outstanding achievements in the period 2018 - 2022.
On this occasion, the district leaders awarded certificates of merit from the District Party Committee to grassroots Party organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023.
