Gave nearly 900 social insurance books and health insurance cards to people affected by storm No. 3

On the afternoon of October 29, in Ha Long city ( Quang Ninh ), the Social Insurance of Quang Ninh province organized a program to give social insurance books and health insurance cards to households in Ha Long city with difficult circumstances affected by storm No.

After storm No. 3, in Quang Ninh, many households suffered serious damage to property, land and their lives were disrupted, leading to many health and psychological consequences. In order to partly support the above difficulties, the Vietnam Social Security sector has proactively developed a program to give social insurance books and health insurance cards to households in difficult circumstances affected by storm No. 3.

Responding to the program launched by Vietnam Social Security, many banks have registered to donate 1,202 social insurance books and 9,260 health insurance cards to people in 26 provinces and cities with a total cost of nearly 16 billion VND. To date, the list of banks supporting health insurance cards and social insurance books includes: Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development; Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development; Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade; Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade.

In Quang Ninh province, the program presented 72 voluntary social insurance books and 810 health insurance cards, including 24 social insurance books and 100 health insurance cards to households in Ha Long city.

The program of giving social insurance books and health insurance cards is a way of sharing material things and encouraging the spirit, helping people in difficult circumstances to reduce the burden of medical examination and treatment costs. People in difficult circumstances have more opportunities to participate in voluntary social insurance so that when they are eligible, they will receive pensions and have health insurance cards when they are old.
