Giving people 100,000 VND on September 2nd: Details of the amount for each locality

(Dan Tri) - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed a decision to add more than 10,700 billion VND to the local budget to give gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed Decision No. 1867 dated August 29 on targeted supplementation from the central budget to local budgets to give gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The decision clearly states that the targeted supplement from the central budget expenditure estimate for 2025 has been decided by the National Assembly but has not yet been allocated in detail to 34 provinces and cities to implement the policy of giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The total budget is over 10,700 billion VND. Details of the additional amount for each province and city are in the appendix attached to this Decision.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Security , and the People's Committees of the provinces and cities assigned to supplement the above-mentioned budget, to be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the content, data of the reports and proposals; to manage, use, and settle the additional budget in accordance with the provisions of the State Budget Law and the Government's Resolution on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Government leaders require that gift giving to people be organized in a timely, public, transparent, and targeted manner, without loss, waste, or negativity.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a telegram to relevant units regarding the policy of giving gifts to Vietnamese citizens, each person 100,000 VND.

To implement the Politburo's direction, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, based on the Politburo's direction; to immediately review the list of people eligible to receive gifts and transfer them to people by bank transfer or directly before September 2.

As of August 29, according to a survey by Dan Tri reporters, nearly 20 banks have linked with the VNeID application to receive subsidies from social policies.

Banks include the big 4 group (4 banks with State capital) namely Agribank, BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank and the private banking group, including ACB, BVBank, Co-opBank, HDBank, KienlongBank, LPBank, MB, Nam A Bank, NCB, PVcomBank, Sacombank, ShinhanBank, TPBank, Vikki Bank.

Not only through banks, people can also receive subsidies through Mobile Money accounts.
