Determining the two teams in the U20 World Cup final

(Dan Tri) - Overcoming opponents France and Colombia in the semi-final matches taking place this morning (October 16), U20 Morocco and U20 Argentina entered the final of the U20 World Championship taking place in Chile.

The semi-finals of the 2025 U20 World Cup were extremely tense. In the first semi-final between Morocco and France, the African team took the lead in the 32nd minute thanks to Lisandru Olmeta.

Not accepting defeat, the young French team pushed up their attack formation in the following minutes. In the second half, U20 France found the equalizer.

In the 59th minute, Lucas Michal scored, helping the French U20 team level the score at 1-1. This result forced both sides to play extra time.

In the second period of extra time, in the 107th minute, Rabby Nzingoula of the French U20 team received a second yellow card, before he was sent off. Playing in a 10-on-11 situation, the young French team tried to keep the score until the end of extra time.

However, in the penalty shootout, the U20 Morocco players were still the ones who kicked more accurately. U20 Morocco won 5-4. The African team won the right to enter the final.

Morocco U20 will face Argentina U20 in the final. The young team from the land of Tango won 1-0 against Colombia U20 in the other semi-final.

The only scorer for Argentina U20 was Silvetti in the 72nd minute. In this semi-final, there was also a red card used, for Colombia's Renteria Arias in the 79th minute.

The 2025 U20 World Cup final between Argentina and Morocco will take place on the morning of October 20 (Vietnam time) in Santiago, Chile. The day before is the third-place match between Colombia and France, also in Santiago.
