Speed up construction and resolutely disburse public investment projects

According to the report of the Bac Lieu Rural and Urban Development Project Management Board, in 2025, the unit was assigned a public investment capital plan of more than VND 1,080 billion (including the capital transferred from 2024). By October 7, 2025, the unit had disbursed nearly VND 561 billion, reaching 51.9% of the plan; of which, the disbursed central capital reached 61%, local capital reached 29.5%.

Currently, many projects are focusing on accelerating construction progress and capital disbursement. However, some projects are still facing difficulties due to site clearance problems, lack of construction materials, unfavorable weather conditions and market price fluctuations, affecting progress and disbursement capacity.

Faced with that situation, the Bac Lieu Rural and Urban Development Project Management Board recommended that relevant localities soon complete site clearance work; at the same time, proposed the Department of Finance to consider internal adjustments to the capital plan to ensure effective use of public investment resources.

At the meeting, contractors reported on the implementation status and progress of the projects; at the same time, committed to making efforts to complete the projects according to the assigned schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Huu Tri requested relevant units to focus on implementing projects on schedule, ensuring 100% disbursement of the assigned public investment capital plan by December 31, 2025. This is a key, urgent and top priority task, requiring high determination, synchronous, drastic and serious actions from investors, construction units and relevant departments and branches. The implementation must ensure compliance with legal regulations; at the same time, enhance the sense of responsibility, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles to complete assigned tasks.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Huu Tri requested contractors to concentrate maximum human resources, equipment, organize construction reasonably, develop specific and scientific construction plans, and ensure implementation on schedule. At the same time, contractors are required to strictly implement the committed content. Contractors who violate the schedule or lack responsibility will be handled according to regulations.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Huu Tri said that the Provincial People's Committee will organize many inspection teams to monitor the implementation of projects in order to promptly detect and correct errors, remove obstacles and promote progress. The province also affirmed that it will always create the most favorable conditions for contractors within the scope of legal regulations; at the same time, resolutely protect the construction work to ensure that the project is implemented according to plan.
