Implementing the peak of the Project on "Developing the application of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030", according to Decision No. 06/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2022 of the Prime Minister , abbreviated as "Project 06", the force of union members, youth, local police, People's Committee officials, together with representatives of banks and social insurance have coordinated to form mobile working groups to support people. People are supported to install the VNeID application, register for an electronic identification account, guide the use of personal digital signatures, and update information on electronic health records.
In addition, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) also supports people to install cashless payment applications, contributing to promoting digital finance at the grassroots level. Social Insurance officers guide people to check and adjust insurance information and integrate personal documents into the VNeID application. In particular, the activation of level 2 electronic identification accounts only supports the completion of the application profile, people then need to go directly to the police agency for biometric authentication to complete the process according to regulations.
At the support points, the working group members work seriously and enthusiastically. Many people, especially the elderly, who are accessing digital applications for the first time, have been patiently and thoughtfully guided step by step by union members, youth and cadres. In Duc Xuan ward, in just one evening, dozens of people were supported to install necessary applications, create identification accounts and update personal information for electronic transactions.
Ms. Duong Thi Hoa, Secretary of the Youth Union of Group 3A, Duc Xuan Ward, shared: Many older people are not familiar with using smartphones, so we have to give detailed instructions step by step. We are all happy to help people access technology and digital utilities.
To ensure the effective implementation of Project 06, localities mobilized maximum coordination forces, and arranged flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, to create the most favorable conditions for people to come and implement. The motto of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person" was thoroughly implemented throughout the grassroots political system, with the goal of basically completing the target of activating electronic identification accounts by the end of the year, while increasing the rate of people using online public services at a high level.
As one of the early participants at the support point, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen, Head of Residential Group 3A, Duc Xuan Ward, said: The residential group has many elderly people, who were initially confused and worried. But thanks to the ward officials and enthusiastic guidance from the young people, everyone felt secure and excited. Everyone saw the clear benefits of installing electronic identification and using online public services.
In fact, the implementation of Project 06 has been making an important contribution to the digital transformation process at the grassroots level, towards the formation of digital citizens and a digital society. In which, people are both the center, the subject, the goal and the driving force of the comprehensive digital transformation process...
