Accelerate the implementation of 'Project 06'.

In recent days, communes and wards in the northern part of the province have accelerated the implementation of Project 06, with the synchronized, urgent, and serious involvement of local authorities. At the People's Committee headquarters or residential areas in Duc Xuan and Bac Kan wards, activities guiding, exchanging information, and supporting people in carrying out digital procedures have been taking place from early morning until late at night.

In the midst of implementing the Project on "Developing applications of population data, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030," according to Decision No. 06/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2022, of the Prime Minister , abbreviated as "Project 06," youth union members, local police, People's Committee officials, along with representatives from banks and social insurance agencies, have coordinated into mobile working groups to support the people. People have been assisted in installing the VNeID application, registering electronic identification accounts, guided on using personal digital signatures, and updating information in their electronic health records.

In addition, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) also supports people in installing cashless payment applications, contributing to promoting digital finance at the grassroots level. Social Insurance officials guide people in checking and adjusting insurance information and integrating personal documents into the VNeID application. Regarding the activation of level 2 electronic identity accounts, support is only provided up to the step of completing the application; people then need to go directly to the police station for biometric verification to complete the process as required.

At the support points, the working spirit of the task force members was serious and dedicated. Many people, especially the elderly, who were accessing digital applications for the first time, were patiently and thoughtfully guided step-by-step by the youth union members and officials. In Duc Xuan ward, in just one evening, dozens of people received assistance in installing necessary applications, creating identity accounts, and updating personal information for electronic transactions.

Ms. Duong Thi Hoa, Secretary of the Youth Union of Group 3A, Duc Xuan Ward, shared: "Many elderly people are not familiar with using smartphones, so we have to guide them step-by-step. We are all happy to help people access technology and digital conveniences."

To ensure the effective implementation of Project 06, localities are mobilizing maximum coordinating forces and arranging flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, to create the most favorable conditions for people to participate. The motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person" is being thoroughly implemented throughout the grassroots political system, with the goal of basically completing the target of activating electronic identification accounts by the end of the year, while simultaneously increasing the percentage of people using high-level online public services.

As one of the early participants at the support point, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen, Head of Residential Group 3A, Duc Xuan Ward, said: "Our residential group has many elderly people, and initially, we were hesitant and worried. But thanks to the ward officials and young people who provided dedicated guidance, everyone felt reassured and happy. Everyone saw the clear benefits of installing electronic identification and using online public services."

In reality, the implementation of Project 06 has made and continues to make a significant contribution to the digital transformation process at the grassroots level, aiming towards the formation of digital citizens and a digital society.
