Within the framework of the project, since December 2023, IOM has coordinated with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Department of Health ) of Quang Binh to implement technical support activities for small and medium-sized business models. To date, 22 models in a number of localities in the province have received technical support to develop production and business, create more jobs for local youth workers, and contribute to reducing the desire to migrate, especially illegal migration.
In addition, the project also organized short-term vocational training for 120 workers in cooperatives, small business models in localities, to improve vocational skills, aiming to find jobs; especially for establishments that need workers with specific skills...
At the conference, delegates discussed and evaluated the effectiveness of coordination in selecting and supporting models; at the same time, drew lessons learned in the process of implementing activities.
The implementation of the project in Quang Binh province has contributed to raising awareness and understanding of relevant legal regulations on preventing and combating human trafficking to avoid illegal migration, contributing to creating a stable migration environment, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and implementing social security work well.
