From July 1 to August 19, 2025, the Immigration Department of Ca Mau Provincial Police will deploy a peak of 50 days and nights to issue electronic identification accounts to foreigners residing in the province according to the cases specified in Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP dated June 25, 2024 of the Government regulating electronic identification and authentication, including regulations on issuing electronic identification accounts to foreigners.
The issuance of electronic identification accounts not only serves management requirements but more importantly, brings a convenient, safe and friendly administrative experience to foreigners in Vietnam in general and Ca Mau province in particular. This is an important step in simplifying administrative procedures and promoting digital transformation.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh On, Deputy Head of the Immigration Department of Ca Mau Provincial Police, said: “Issuing an electronic identification account helps foreigners easily carry out administrative procedures online, reducing time and paperwork; while ensuring authenticity and protecting legitimate rights while living and working in Vietnam. In addition, a level 2 electronic identification account also creates conditions for foreigners to use many digital utilities in Vietnam such as: Verifying information in banking transactions, registering to rent a house, using public services, storing electronic residence cards and other legal documents on the VNeID application...”.

With the spirit of "doing all the work, not all the hours", all procedures for receiving and guiding the application for electronic identification accounts are guided meticulously, carefully and thoughtfully by officers and soldiers of the Immigration Department. The steps of receiving information, taking photos, taking fingerprints, and verifying documents are carried out seriously, following the correct procedures, ensuring speed, convenience and compliance with legal regulations. After the first 20 days of peak implementation, Ca Mau Provincial Police issued 87 electronic identification accounts to foreigners living and working in the province. Many foreigners expressed their satisfaction with the enthusiastic guidance and clear and transparent procedures.

As a lecturer at the Binh Duong University Branch in Ca Mau, on July 1, Mr. Bounif Youness (Moroccan nationality) went to the Immigration Department of Ca Mau Provincial Police to register and submit his application and became the first foreigner in Ca Mau province to be granted a level 2 electronic identification account. Mr. Bounif Youness said: “After just a few minutes of being enthusiastically guided by the police officers, I completed the registration procedures for an electronic identification account. The process was quick, professional and very convenient. I was very impressed with the enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and professionalism of the Ca Mau Provincial Police officers.”
Sharing the same thought, Mr. Kim SungJun (Korean nationality, currently residing in Bac Lieu ward) shared: “I am very happy that the Ca Mau Provincial Police have granted me a level 2 electronic identification. From now on, I can easily conduct banking transactions, register to rent a house, use public services... I thank the officers of the Provincial Police Department for their enthusiastic help.”
