'Dragon Clan' Season 2 Finale Leaked on TikTok

While there is only 1 episode left, the series Dragon Family (shown on the online platform Max) will end season 2 at its climax, an unexpected incident happened to the crew: many secretly filmed clips of this final episode were posted on TikTok.

The source noted that several clips were posted by a TikTok account on Tuesday night (US time), just before the episode was set to air (on August 4). The account used a second device to record the show as it aired. The leaked clips had more than 100,000 views before being taken down. The TikTok account that posted the clips has also been blocked.

However, right before the unauthorized clips were taken down, many users quickly shared them again on TikTok as well as the X platform (formerly known as Twitter). The media is contacting HBO to confirm the relevant information, as well as who will be responsible for leaking these unauthorized clips. "HBO is actively monitoring the situation and trying to remove all reshared clips from the internet," a representative of the station responded to the press about the incident.

Family of Dragons season 2 has a total of 8 episodes, with the same "bloodiness" as the first part. This season follows the journey of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (played by Emma D'Arcy) to regain the lost throne with dragons as well as battle tactics. The season is receiving good reviews from critics with a score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes (certified "fresh").

This is not the first time that the Dragon House / Game of Thrones franchise has been subject to illegal online leaks. In 2022, before the final episode of season 1 was scheduled to air on the scheduled date and time, the entire episode was illegally streamed. Or before that in 2017, an episode from season 7 of Game of Thrones was illegally uploaded to a torrent platform before the show was officially released. In these leaks, HBO said the incidents were caused by partners or third parties that they had no control over.
