On the afternoon of March 12, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong received Mr. Darrell Wade - Co-founder and Chairman of Intrepid Travel Group. Also attending were Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski and representatives of businesses and non-governmental organizations in Vietnam.

Intrepid Vietnam General Director, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hanh, said that Mr. Darrell's visit to Vietnam "demonstrates Intrepid Travel Group's commitment to promoting socio-economic development in Vietnam through actively supporting tourism development, sharing volunteer activities as well as bringing many job opportunities to the local community."
Accordingly, Intrepid's global strategy to 2030 aims to double global tourist arrivals to 600,000 (up from 320,000 in 2023), achieve revenue of 1.3 billion AUD (up from 621 million AUD in 2023) and contribute 1% of revenue to charity activities.

Sharing with the press, Mr. Darrell Wade said that in Vietnam, Intrepid plans to develop vertical industries, expanding into tourism areas such as accommodation, conservation of rare animals, conservation of natural landscapes or support and job creation for people with disabilities through vocational training.
As part of their 2024 action plan, Intrepid CEO and co-founders will make a commitment to promote the development of Vietnam's tourism industry while providing more job opportunities for local people.

In 2023, the Intrepid Foundation successfully sponsored VUN ART with AUD 30,000 to create livelihoods for disadvantaged staff in society. The Foundation also organized its first marathon walking event in major cities such as Hanoi, Melbourne, Singapore and London, raising over AUD 370,000 for the Blue Dragon Children's Fund, exceeding the target by 148%, contributing to the continued rescue of nearly 1,400 victims (mostly children) of illegal trafficking to date.
