Defense industry groups from Russia, the US, Japan, South Korea and dozens of countries and territories will attend the Vietnam defense exhibition later this year.
At the exhibition promotion conference on the morning of April 20, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, said that more than 40 companies and contacts from 19 countries and territories have confirmed their participation.
In addition to the above 5 countries, the exhibition also has the participation of corporations from India, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, France, Turkey, Sweden, Singapore, Serbia, Czech Republic, Spain, UAE, South Korea and Bulgaria.
The event will take place from December 19 to 22 at Gia Lam Airport, Long Bien District, Hanoi. The total registered area is nearly 3,300 m2 and 100 m2 for outdoor display. The Ministry of National Defense plans to invite more than 120 delegations from 50 countries. Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang has sent invitations to 35 Defense Ministers of other countries.

According to Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, the 2024 exhibition will have the participation of businesses, delegations, and people from various countries. With the desire to turn the exhibition into a regular event every two years, the Ministry of National Defense advocates gradually socializing and attracting sponsorship to move towards not depending on the State budget.
The 2024 exhibition will display and introduce combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment for the navy, army, air defense - air force, cyber warfare, and technical logistics. During the opening ceremony, the air force will perform a welcome flyover, and special forces will demonstrate their skills and martial arts.
For air defense - air force, the exhibition is expected to display fighter aircraft, helicopters, trainers, drones; air-to-air missiles, air defense, man-portable air defense; artillery systems, air defense missiles.
For the navy, the exhibition will introduce submarines, warships, auxiliary ships, unmanned ships; reconnaissance equipment, underwater observation, sonar; torpedoes; mines; surface-to-sea missiles, sea-to-sea missiles.
For the army, the exhibition will display infantry weapons, firepower weapons; infantry, artillery, anti-tank ammunition; observation and day and night aiming equipment; ground artillery, self-propelled artillery; ground-to-ground missiles, anti-tank missiles; tanks, armored vehicles, troop carriers, military transport vehicles.
