According to the forecast bulletin of the Northern Mountainous Region Hydrometeorological Station, on September 28, Phu Tho province will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 50 - 80 mm, some places over 80 mm, with a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes in districts, towns and cities.

To proactively respond to widespread heavy rain and unusual natural disaster situations that may occur, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue requests the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of districts, cities and towns; the State-owned One Member Limited Liability Company for Exploitation of Phu Tho Irrigation Works to strictly monitor warning bulletins, forecast developments of rain and floods in the area, promptly provide warning information to communes, wards, towns and people to proactively prevent, avoid and respond; especially in areas at risk of flooding, landslides, flash floods. Proactively deploy measures to ensure safety during the organization of the Mid-Autumn Festival in localities.

Urgently check and evacuate households in dangerous and unsafe areas, especially low-lying areas that are likely to be cut off and isolated due to deep flooding, and areas at high risk of landslides and flash floods, to prevent deaths.

Timely support food, provisions, and necessities for households at risk of hunger, resolutely not letting any people go hungry.

Check, review, and prepare plans to ensure the safety of dykes, dams, and downstream reservoirs; especially weak, degraded, or incident-prone reservoirs. Prepare personnel, materials, vehicles, and equipment to handle possible situations.

Be ready to deploy forces to guard, control, and guide people and vehicles through culverts, spillways, ferry terminals, flooded and isolated areas to ensure safety. Deploy safety work in mineral exploitation areas to prevent incidents from occurring during floods.

Actively inspect the operation of sluices under river dykes, dikes, and pumping stations to ensure timely flood prevention and drainage to protect production. Instruct people on measures to drain water and protect production; reinforce and protect aquaculture ponds; harvest crops when they are ready to be harvested.

Notify investors with projects under construction along rivers and on rivers; owners of water transport vehicles and mineral exploitation vehicles about rain and floods to proactively take measures to ensure safety for people, vehicles, equipment and projects.

Organize a 24/7 on-duty team, ensure communication, proactively direct situation handling and promptly report to the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control.
