Trains connect Hue's heritage sites.

On the morning of March 26th, in Hue City (Thua Thien Hue province), the Vietnam Railway Corporation and the People's Committee of the province and the People's Committee of Da Nang City jointly organized the inauguration of a dedicated regional train service between Hue and Da Nang and vice versa, named "Connecting Central Vietnam's Heritage".

The train has 5 air-conditioned soft-seat carriages and 1 communal carriage. Onboard, the railway company has arranged a dining carriage, mainly serving specialties from the two localities. In addition, VIP waiting rooms are also available at Da Nang and Hue stations to serve train passengers.

Each trip takes 3 hours, and as the train passes through Hai Van Pass, passengers can admire the magnificent natural scenery.

Boats depart at two times, morning and afternoon, from each location, allowing visitors to witness both sunrise and sunset over Lang Co Bay – one of the most beautiful bays in the country.

Many tourists were excited to experience the train on its opening day.

At the two arrival stations, local authorities have arranged for bicycles to be available for rent, making it convenient for tourists to explore the scenic spots.

Thua Thien Hue province also applies a policy of providing discounts to organizations and individuals when visiting tourist attractions in Hue. In April, the trains will be equipped with Wi-Fi.

Da Nang city leaders experience the train route on March 26th.

The launch of this train is one of the efforts to connect the region and promote tourism by the People's Committees of the two cities, and is a new product, marking the beginning of transportation business products combined with tourism services that Vietnam Railways will implement in the future.

In Hue, train HD1 departs from Hue station at 7:45 AM and arrives at Da Nang station at 10:35 AM. Train HD3 departs from Hue station at 2:25 PM and arrives in Da Nang at 5:40 PM.

In Da Nang, train HD2 departs from Da Nang station at 7:50 AM and arrives at Hue station at 11:05 AM. Train HD4 departs from Da Nang station at 3:00 PM and arrives at Hue station at 5:45 PM.

The railway sector is offering discounted fares of 150,000 VND per ticket; monthly passes at 900,000 VND per ticket; and discounts of 10%–50% for eligible passengers during March.
