(Dan Tri) - On December 21, the Quy Nhon Port Border Guard Station (Binh Dinh) said that it had coordinated with the Quy Nhon Maritime Port Authority to receive 14 crew members whose ship sank in the waters of Binh Dinh province.
At 10:55 p.m. on December 20, Quy Nhon Port Border Guard Station received information from Quy Nhon Maritime Port Authority about the incident of Hoa Lu 2 ship, of Vietnamese nationality.
This ship is carrying clinker from Quang Ninh to Ba Ria - Vung Tau , there are 12 crew members and 2 passengers on board.

While approaching Con Trau Islet, in the waters of Phu My District, Binh Dinh Province, the ship encountered an incident of water entering the cargo hold and sank. There were about 17,000 liters of DO oil on board.
After receiving the notice, Quy Nhon Maritime Port Authority dispatched ship Nhat Chau 289 to approach and successfully rescue 14 people on board Hoa Lu 2.
The crew members were brought ashore safely and are in stable health. Quy Nhon Maritime Port Authority has handed over the 14 people to the Border Guard force of Binh Dinh province.
The Border Guard of Binh Dinh province has proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies to coordinate with the border guard force to deploy measures to respond to oil spills if they occur.
