Tay Giang organizes gong drum festival and tang tung and da da dance in 2024

The festival attracted hundreds of artisans and amateur actors from 10 communes in the district to participate in performances of gongs and drums combined with tang tung and da da dances through festival rituals to thank the forest, celebrate the new harvest, new rice... in the Co Tu community.

Mr. Arat Blui - Vice Chairman of Tay Giang District People's Committee said that the festival aims to create a living space, perform traditional gong and drum art and dance, contributing to raising awareness of preserving and promoting the long-standing cultural values ​​of the Co Tu community.

At the same time, mobilize and attract generations of artisans, especially young artisans, to play a good role as the successors to help restore, preserve and transmit the cultural values, festivals, music and traditional dances of the Co Tu people to the people and tourists.

This is also an opportunity to educate young generations about the traditional cultural identities of their people, contributing to creating momentum to promote socio -economic development, eco-tourism, community tourism and green tourism of the district in the coming years.

According to Mr. Arat Blui, the Co Tu people have a diverse cultural treasure with many unique artistic values, from the art of drums and gongs, tang dance, da da to folk songs and traditional music.

"The festival is an opportunity to bring those artistic values ​​closer to young people and the community. Thereby, continuing to promote the cultural, artistic and traditional art movement of the Co Tu people in agencies, units, schools and mass organizations in the district" - Mr. Arat Blúi emphasized.
