Mass cultural activities at Trinh Cong Son walking street are increasingly attractive.
The people of Nhat Tan “dinh dao” have just brought to the Tay Ho District Street Food and Art Performance Space a special art program with the theme “Sparkling Flowers”. From around 7pm, when the actors were busy preparing, a large audience gathered to wait for the performances. Although it was a “ward” level art program, no one could deny the level of investment in the program.
With the mobilization of the Party Committee, the government, local artists, designers and some guests joined hands to implement the program. Thanks to that, "Sparkling Flowers" became a colorful art program. Besides performances such as "Come to My Vietnamese People", "The Country is Full of Joy"... performed by the Women's Union and the Ward Veterans Association, there were also performances by professional artists such as: Singer Bao Tram, singer Phuong Thuy, singer Vu Thang Loi; performing the "Sac Hoa" Ao Dai collection by Ao Dai designer Lan Huong... The final part of the program was vibrant, modern performances by the Carmen dance troupe, singer Nee, singer Hieu Bae...
The program received a lot of applause from the young audience. Vu Thu Ha (on Nguyen Khang Street, Cau Giay District) said: “My friends and I came early to wait for the performances. I am very happy because in addition to traditional songs, there are many young songs for us.”
The performance of art by wards and social organizations in the area is a new feature in the activities of Trinh Cong Son walking street. These activities are participated by the people in the district, combined with the presence of professional artists, increasing the attraction of the walking street. Vice Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee Bui Thi Lan Phuong said: "The District Party Committee and People's Committee of Tay Ho District have innovated and created, focusing on building a cultural space, not only to serve entertainment, culture, and community cuisine but also to contribute to promoting the image of Tay Ho District.
Through this playground, we hope to discover talented grassroots artists to nurture and promote; at the same time, aim to build the walking street into a space where people can practice and enjoy the cultural values brought by the community."
Mentioning West Lake is mentioning the vast West Lake with its unique legends, dense system of relics and poetic landscapes. Around West Lake, there are 20 historical relics bearing the strong imprint of the thousand-year-old Thang Long Citadel such as: Tran Quoc Pagoda, Tay Ho Palace, Dong Co Temple... along with unique festivals and traditional craft villages: Yen Thai Do paper, Nhat Tan peach growing, Tu Lien kumquat bonsai, growing lotus and making lotus tea in Quang An, Phu Thuong sticky rice... Recently, West Lake has also attracted tourists with the Red River Stone Garden, West Lake Flower Valley...
To exploit the cultural values and landscapes of the West Lake area, while meeting the entertainment needs of residents and visitors, the district has built the Trinh Cong Son Walking Street. Although there is still time to complete, this place is a meeting place for cultural and artistic activities, a place to introduce the typical cuisine of Tay Ho district and Hanoi , attracting a significant number of visitors. From this foundation, Chairman of the Tay Ho District People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen said that the district is focusing on building creative cultural spaces, not only to serve the entertainment and recreation of the community, but also to "awaken" the resources and advantages of West Lake.
The spaces, when formed, will comprehensively exploit the potential ecosystem in this area, especially the historical and cultural values, suitable for practical conditions and current development trends, meeting the needs of the capital's residents and tourists.
In addition to Trinh Cong Son walking street, in the coming time, Tay Ho district will continue to invest in building creative cultural spaces associated with heritage and works with heritage value such as: Creative cultural space to perform traditional arts and practice the worship of the Mother Goddess of the Three Palaces (Tay Ho Palace), creative cultural space to experience the craft of making do paper associated with the historical relic of Trich Sai communal house, creative cultural space to experience the traditional craft of making Phu Thuong sticky rice associated with the historical relic of Phu Gia communal house...
In addition, the district is researching and asking for the city's approval on the organization of renovation and upgrading of Ly Tu Trong Flower Garden in conjunction with the construction of Tay Ho Book Park. These will be new creative cultural spaces with unique and attractive features of Tay Ho, contributing to improving the quality of spiritual life of the people, creating attraction for tourists when coming to Hanoi.
