QR Code for product traceability is a 2D barcode that can be read by a smartphone with a camera function and a Wifi, 3G or 4G connection. Through some QR Code scanning support software such as Zalo or Facebook..., it is possible to look up detailed information about the product and the manufacturing facility. After each scan, the system will automatically send information about the origin of the product to consumers, including the place of manufacture, manufacturer, distributor or business unit of the product. Consumers will also know about the price, point of sale, uses, ingredients... of the product. Scanning the QR Code is quite simple and easy to use, even people who are not familiar with information technology can easily do it.
“Currently, many goods of unknown origin are sold everywhere, so to ensure the health and interests of myself and my family, every time I buy goods, I scan the QR Code on the products to know the origin clearly,” Ms. Diem My (Ward 3, Bac Lieu City) shared.
Counterfeit and fake goods are the most common risks customers face when shopping, especially online shopping. By checking the QR Code, customers can verify the origin and authenticity of the product. This helps customers avoid poor quality products that do not meet their needs and are a waste of money.
