
Earlier, at around 10 PM on April 17, 2026, while fishing at sea, Mr. Truong Vu Bao, residing in Bao Vi hamlet, Tan An commune, Ca Mau province, discovered a hawksbill turtle and a green sea turtle caught in his fishing net. After taking them in for care, Mr. Bao notified the Border Guard force to coordinate with relevant authorities to release them back into their natural environment.

According to officers at the Tam Giang Tay Border Guard Station, hawksbill turtles and green turtles are rare marine animals listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world , facing the risk of extinction and requiring strict protection. The timely and responsible actions of Mr. Truong Vu Bao's family are commendable, contributing to raising community awareness in the conservation of rare wild animals in coastal areas.
