DNVN - Thales continues to accompany Vietnam Airlines in providing FlytCARE service - maintenance of in-flight entertainment systems through the contract extension with Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO, a company 100% owned by Vietnam Airlines).

For nearly a decade, Thales has been working with Vietnam Airlines through an agreement with VAECO. With the recently signed cooperation, Thales has been selected to provide FlytCARE maintenance services on the AVANT IFE system on 27 wide-body aircraft in Vietnam Airlines’ Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 fleet.

FlytCARE Services provides comprehensive and ongoing support services including spare parts availability services at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

Since its presence in Vietnam in 1994, Thales has continuously affirmed its role as a trusted partner in the Vietnamese aviation industry. With advanced and modern solutions, Thales not only supports Vietnam's strategic priorities in the aerospace sector but also in other high-tech fields.

This partnership is a clear demonstration of Thales’s long-standing partnership and cooperation with Vietnam Airlines and VAECO. The agreement focuses on the provision of spare parts, repair services and logistics management, ensuring equipment availability, thereby helping to reduce operational risks, improve reliability, optimize fleet performance and ensure a world-class passenger experience for Vietnam Airlines.

“This new agreement is a testament to the shared commitment of both parties to continuously improve the quality of our operations,” said Nicolas Bernardin, General Director of Thales Vietnam. “We are committed to providing the best possible support to meet Vietnam Airlines’ needs, while ensuring an outstanding in-flight entertainment experience for all passengers.”
