Visiting and giving Tet gifts to the people of Tan Hiep island commune.

DNO - On February 12th, authorized by the City Party Committee, the City People's Council, and the City People's Committee, Colonel Tran Huu Ich, Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, visited and inspected combat readiness and extended New Year greetings to local authorities, people, and armed forces on duty in Cu Lao Cham Island (Tan Hiep island commune) and the Cua Dai area on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.

The delegation visited and encouraged officers and soldiers at the Cu Lao Cham Border Guard Station, units under Battalion 70 (City Military Command), and the Cua Dai Border Guard Station. At each unit, Colonel Tran Huu Ich acknowledged and praised the sense of responsibility, organizational discipline, and determination of the officers and soldiers in maintaining strict combat readiness during the Tet holiday.

During the inspection, the delegation directly observed the anti-aircraft artillery platoon practicing alert drills and deploying combat readiness plans.

Speaking at the inspection, Colonel Tran Huu Ich requested that the units continue to raise their vigilance, strictly maintain the combat readiness duty regime; strengthen patrols and guard duties, closely manage the area; proactively grasp the situation early and from afar; coordinate closely between forces, and avoid being caught off guard or surprised in any situation.

Especially during the Lunar New Year holiday, when the volume of ships and tourists increases significantly, relevant units need to do a good job of ensuring security and safety in the sea, islands, and river mouths; be ready to participate in rescue operations when required, contributing to maintaining a peaceful environment so that people can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the New Year safely and securely.

On behalf of the city's leadership, Colonel Tran Huu Ich presented Tet gifts to encourage officers and soldiers and extended New Year wishes for good health, unity, and outstanding performance of assigned tasks.

On the same day, Colonel Tran Huu Ich visited and extended New Year greetings to the government and people of Tan Hiep island commune on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse).

During his visit and working session with the local Party committee and government, Colonel Tran Huu Ich acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Party committee, government, and people of Tan Hiep commune in developing socio -economic aspects and maintaining national defense and security in the past period.

Leveraging the advantages of marine and island ecotourism, the locality has proactively exploited its potential, linking economic development with environmental protection, caring for social welfare, and gradually improving the lives of the people.

At the same time, it was suggested that Tan Hiep commune continue to focus on planning, proactively advise on solutions for the sustainable development of the island commune; closely combine economic development and marine tourism with strengthening national defense and security; promote the strength of the great national unity, and better care for the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially policy beneficiary families and households still facing difficulties.

On the occasion of the New Year, Colonel Tran Huu Ich presented gifts from the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, the Ministry of National Defense, and the City Military Command to the Party Committee, government, and armed forces of the island commune. He also presented 33 gift packages (each worth 5 million VND) to policy beneficiary families and households in difficult circumstances in the area.
