On the morning of February 17, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council conducted an examination of the Draft Resolution on the establishment and abolition of a number of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province. Comrade Nguyen Thai Thinh, Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council chaired the examination session.

The draft Resolution on the establishment and abolition of a number of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province includes the following contents: Establishing the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance; Establishing the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport; Establishing the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Establishing the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications; Establishing the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Establishing the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the basis of the Ethnic Minorities Committee taking over the functions, tasks, and organization of the State management apparatus on religion from the Department of Home Affairs; Abolishing the Department of Foreign Affairs, transferring the functions and tasks to relevant agencies according to the provisions of law. The above-mentioned Departments will be in operation from March 1, 2025. The Draft Resolution aims to clarify the scientific basis, legal basis, practicality and comprehensiveness of the Submission and the Draft Resolution. This will help the Provincial People's Council delegates have more basis to consider and decide at the 21st session of the Provincial People's Council on February 19, 2025.
