April 2025: International arrivals slightly increased compared to the same period in 2024

According to a report by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of international tourists to Vietnam in April 2025 reached more than 1.6 million, an increase of 6.3% over the same period in 2024.

Specifically, the number of international tourists to Vietnam in April 2025 reached 1,654,681 arrivals, down 19.5% compared to March 2025, up 6.3% over the same period in 2024. The total number of international tourists to Vietnam in the first 4 months of 2025 reached 7,673,389 arrivals, up 23.8% over the same period in 2024.

The number of international tourists to Vietnam in April 2025 reached more than 1.6 million arrivals

In particular, the largest international tourist markets include: China, Korea, Taiwan, the US, India, Australia, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand... Besides, some markets also showed signs of growth in the number of visitors compared to March 2025: Indonesia (up 83%), New Zealand (up 68%), Australia (up 38%), Philippines (up 25%), Switzerland (up 20%), India (up 18%), Spain (up 13%), Malaysia (up 8%),….

Regarding the number of domestic tourists, in April 2025, it is estimated that there will be about 12.0 million visitors, of which about 8.0 million will stay. The total number of domestic tourists in the first 4 months of 2025 will reach 47.5 million visitors.

The April report also said that total revenue from tourists in the month was estimated at VND86 trillion. Together with total revenue in the first 3 months of the year, respectively: January was estimated at VND87.8 trillion, February was estimated at VND72.2 trillion and March was estimated at VND82 trillion, total revenue from tourists in the first 4 months of 2025 is estimated at VND328 trillion.
